Labor Categories

Systems Administrator/Engineer -  Identifies, analyzes, defines and coordinates user, customer and stakeholder needs and translates them into technical requirements. Works with stakeholders to define constraints and develop the Concept of Operations (ConOPS) documentation. Provides conceptual design, prototype, and test cycles for a technical solution. Identifies and manages dependencies on other systems and elements of the IT structure. Coordinates and manages the resolution of inter-segment problems. Identifies potential environmental impacts on systems. Records lessons-learned, processes and procedures, and other pertinent documentation. Develops and implements test plans for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom-developed systems. Ensures all product and administrative documentation is complete and maintained to ensure continuity and historical reference. Ensures deliverables meet all relevant quality and security standards.

Network Engineer - Candidate must have proven technical ability in LAN/WAN design and implementation.  Must have supervisory experience and an excellent understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols is needed.  Attention to detail is required in managing complex changes to customer networks.  Act as the technology lead for designing the network and security platforms and technical lead supporting network.  Other responsibilities include security audits, assessments, design, implementation and configuration.  Provides leadership, direction and vision in the support and deployment of network and security technologies.  Works with project managers, business analysts and contractors on security solutions to address customer's security requirements. Researches and provides information on security related solutions.  Performs software evaluations and testing of new and existing security solutions.  Functions as a third level support resource on network products and problems that are in use.  Must be able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner. Can install, configure, and operate networks in highly complex environments with specific protocols and instruct and direct those doing these tasks as well.  Can assume management responsibilities if required.

Engineering Level 1 - System Administrator/System Analyst/Network Engineer
The Candidates shall have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a related technical field with no relevant experience or 3 years relevant experience with a High School diploma. A Master’s Degree counts for two years-experience and certification in a related field counts for one-year experience. Experience must be directly related to function.

Engineering Level 1.5 - System Administrator/System Analyst/Network Engineer
The Candidates shall have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a related technical field with 1 years of relevant experience or 3 years relevant experience with a High School diploma. A Master’s Degree counts for two years-experience and certification in a related field counts for one-year experience. Experience must be directly related to function.

Engineering Level 2 - System Administrator/System Analyst/Network Engineer
The Candidates shall have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a related technical field with 2 years of relevant experience or 6 years relevant experience with a High School diploma. A Master’s Degree counts for two years-experience and certification in a related field counts for one-year experience. Experience must be directly related to function.

Engineering Level 3 - System Administrator/System Analyst/Network Engineer
The Candidates shall have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a related technical field with 5 years of relevant experience or 9 years relevant experience with a High School diploma. A Master’s Degree counts for two years-experience and certification in a related field counts for one-year experience. Experience must be directly related to function.

Engineering Level 3.5 - System Administrator/System Analyst/Network Engineer
The Candidates shall have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a related technical field with 8 years of relevant experience or 12 years relevant experience with a High School diploma. A Master’s Degree, degree must be in technically related field, counts for two years-experience and certification in a related field counts for one-year experience.

Engineering Level 4 - System Administrator/System Analyst/Network Engineer
The Candidates shall have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a related technical field with 9 years of relevant experience or 13 years relevant experience with a High School diploma. A Master’s Degree counts for two years-experience and certification in a related field counts for one-year experience. Experience must be directly related to function.

OnSite Systems Administrator Level I
The Candidate must have 1 year experience providing systems support in the arenas of: systems administration; network administration; Customer support and computer operations; and a High School Diploma OR a High School Diploma and 1 Certification.

OnSite Systems Administrator Level II
The Candidate must have 2 years’ experience providing systems support in the arenas of: systems administration; network administration; Customer support and computer operations; and 1 Certification.
